The shoulders are relaxed and the arms gently swing | ||||

Look ahead, not down | ||||

With each step the heel lands first, then you push off on the toes | ||||

Take the “talk test” - slow down if you cannot carry on a conversation or you’re gasping for air | ||||

Finish with a cool-down – marching on the spot for two minutes. Stretch out the muscles used - repeat a few of the stretching exercises | ||||

Wear a hat and sunscreen and avoid the hottest times of the day (11am - 3pm) | ||||

Have a drink of water before you go and another glass when you return | ||||
